Overview

Arcane Lineage has many different classes such as: Base Classes, Super Classes, and Sub Classes. The Base classes are unlocked at level 5, and are the first classes you will get, which are prerequisites to the super classes. The base classes define which weapon you will use, which can be : Sword, Dagger, Spear, Fists and Staff. Once you have chosen your Base class and obtained it by speaking to the right trainer, equipping the right weapon and paying the training fees, you can now unlock your Super class. Super classes are the " Real " Classes you will always use and fight with, and they also define your playstyle. There are 3 different Super class paths for each Base class : Chaotic, Neutral and Orderly, like shown in the picture next to this text. Each branch of different "Reputation" needs different quests done to unlock, except the Neutral path, which needs no quests done, but in exchange costs more money to learn. Each and every single Super class is different in its own way, and has different roles in combat they can serve for their team. For example : Saint, The Orderly Super class branch for the Spear, is a Great, ( if not the best ), healer class in the game. To unlock a Super class, you'll need to be level 15 and talk to the right Class Trainer, which will grant you the first ability, and level 23 if you want to be able to learn all of them. Finally, we got the Sub classes, which are simple yet useful side classes that aren't based of your Super class nor your base class. They add side functionalities such as an Additional healing potion drank in battle, Summoning a Cauldron in front of you, Healing abilities outside of combat in exchange of health, or even the ability to see the elemental Strengths and Weaknesses.

Base Classes

There are currently 5 base classes: Warrior, Thief, Slayer, Martial Artist, and Wizard. You must reach Lvl 5 before talking to any of the class trainers.

Neutral Super Classes

Neutral Super Classes are focused on well balanced builds, with medium health and medium damage. These Classes are recommended for people who want to play a casual experience. If you have any Alignment then you cannot get any of them. However, Neutral Super Classes cost more than Orderly and Chaotic. You must be Level 15 to obtain them, however to fully upgrade them you must be minimum level 23. All can be found within the forest biome, excluding the thief variant, as it is located in the Desert biome.

Blade Dancer

Neutral Super Class upgrade of the Warrior class that wields 2 swords. This class is mainly focused on countering enemy attacks, dealing massive damage with it's counter attacks.

  • Simple Domain (2, 6) Take a stance for a turn and parry one of your enemies next attack.
  • Flowing Dance (3, 6) Multi hit attack where you spin into you enemy like a drill holding your swords infront of you.
  • Impaling Strike (2, 4) Stab an enemy with both of your swords, inflicting bleed.

Passives

  • Dual Blader You wield 2 swords instead of 1
  • Parry There's a chance to parry/counter your foe when blocking.

Rogue

Rogue

Neutral Super Class upgrade of the Thief class. A DPS class that focuses on death by a thousand cuts. Due to their attacks causing bleeding, it's very easy to kill those with high health very quickly.

  • Slash Barrage (2, 5) – Rush down an enemy with a flurry of quick slashes. Does increased damage to bleeding enemies. If the enemy dodges the attack, they dodge all the slashes. Critical can activate for each slash.
  • Poison Trap (1, 7) – Throw down a small trap that releases on melee attackers. The trap can trigger three times, or else it lasts until the battle is over. Unused trap counts are saved for the next battle (e.g. if the poison trap activates twice in the first battle, which ends, when you use poison trap again in the second battle, it will only activate once before running out). Trap damage increases based on speed/luck stat.
  • Dagger Spread (2, 5) – Leap up and throw daggers at all enemies.

Passive

  • Blader – Dagger damage is increased, and attacks cause your opponents to bleed.
  • Advanced Thief – Looting your enemies is improved.

Lancer

Lancer

Neutral Super Class upgrade of the Slayer class. A Tank class with the main focus on taunting enemies to target them and taking the enemies attention away from allies with low health.

  • Empowered Pierce (2, 6) Charge your spear with lightning and impale a foe with shocking speed (scales of strenght and speed).
  • Rallying Shout (2, 7) Take a stance and shout empowering you and your allies and attracting the attention of foes.
  • Discharge (3, 6) Create a ball of lightning and fire it at a foe shocking it and nearby targets (scales of strenght and speed).

Passives

  • Poised Slayer Blocks and dodges bolster and recover you.
  • Rooted Fighter Block better at the cost of moving slower, guarding causes you to absorb damage from your teammates.

Neutral Super Class upgrade of the Martial Artist class. A DPS class with decent endurence focused on heavy attacks and combos.

  • Crushing Strike (1, 4) Inflicts vulnerability when punched target.
  • Party Table (3, 5) Barrages the target with a mouthful of quick, but devastating, kicks.
  • Burst Combo (2, 6) Barrage your enemy with a flurry of punches and kicks ending with an uppercut. Damage is increased when target is vulnerable.

Passives

  • Crusher – Attacks against vulnerable targets are even more harsh.
  • Bruiser – Increased speed and defense while low.

Hexer

The Hexer is the Neutral Super Class for the Wizard. Hexer is mostly focused on buffs and debuffs.

[Skill] (Energy Cost, Recharge Time)

  • Inverse Abyss (3,6) – On use, cover the sky around your team with dark chains that reflects all debuffs all members of your team gets onto EVERY enemy. Lasts for 3 turns. (note, the trap itself lasts for 3 turns before fading, and only activates on one enemy ability. enemy AOE abilities can stack this incredibly, to 20+ debuffs)
  • Abyss Anchor (2,11) – Anchor down a foe with black chains, disabling their passive energy gain for a couple turns and subtracting energy from the afficted
  • Dark Glare (1,4) – Debuffs enemies with Blinded, Vulnerable and Weakened, with a duration between 2-4 turns. Hex can also be applied for 1 attack if the enemy is stunned when hit by the ability. (7 base dark damage)

Passives

  • Tactician – At the start of an encounter, throw your staff forward, giving the enemies vulnerability for 3 turns. (Because of the enemy attacking after the effect is applied, it only last two turns. )
  • Inverse Flaws – Reverses debuffs when you are given them, giving you a buff but keeping the debuff. (Buff undetermined, TBA)(Note: poison, bleed and burn give a defense and regen buff, others unconfirmed).

Tips

  • If you use the abyss anchor and next turn dark glare on a singular enemy, then youll inflict the hexed effect on the enemy, making this combo attack effective against bosses.

Orderly Super Classes

Orderly Super Classes are mostly focused on positive buffs and healing to yourself and your allies. They're a good choice for healers, supporters, and players who want a rounded and balanced playstyle. In order to upgrade your class, you need to be Lvl 15 before you can talk to the trainer, and you need an 'Order' Alignment (11 Heart-soothing potions BEFORE doing 2 quests or do 4 quests). All of these classes' trainers are found in the Desert, excluding the thief variant, as it is located in the Deeproot Canopy.

Paladin

PaladinClass

Orderly Super Class upgrade of the Warrior class. A Tank and Healer/Support class. Though not attack focused, they still deal a decent amount of damage. Focused mainly on buffs and heals, along with an emphasis on taking loads of damage without dying. Recommended for team players and those who are severely afraid of dying.

  • Pure Resonation (3, 9) Buffs you and your allies.
  • Sacred Call (2, 8) Buffs a singular ally with rotating swords of light.

  • Enduring Fighter – Resistance increased when your HP is low.
  • Shield Training – Your movement speed is decreased, but your blocking is buffed.

Monk

Monk

Orderly Super Class upgrade of the Martial Artist class. A Tank class with an emphasis on damage and resilience. They're good at dealing damage to their enemies while not taking damage from them. Recommended for those who want a very balanced playstyle and for those who want to do decent damage without the cost of defense or health.

  • Holy Mantra (2, 6) – Buffs you or an ally with resilient light, reinforcing them.
  • Fire Sutra (2, 6) – Summon a wave of flames that imbues your fists with fire. Last 3 turns.
  • Flame Drop (3, 5) – Imbues your leg with fire, allowing you to crash down onto an enemy, causing a large explosion.
  • Blazing Barrage (2, 5) – Deals slightly less damage per strike than a standard Barrage, but hits 6 times, totaling more damage.

  • Blessed Fists – Blocking and healing are buffed.

Elementalist

Elementalist

Orderly Super Class upgrade of the Mage class. A standard Magic class. They deal good damage and specialize in killing groups of enemies quickly.

  • Blaze (1, 5) – Primarily deals medium single target damage whilst also dealing a small amount of AOE damage to nearby opponents.
  • (NEW) Gale Uplift (3, 12) - a team wind buff increases the speed stat and have chance auto dodge, also make smaller chance enemy block or dodge your attack

(OLD) Wind Reflect – Reflects melee attacks. Lasts for 2 rounds, decreasing at the upkeep of your turn.

  • Lightning Crash (3, 7) – Summons lightning that strikes all enemies, have chance stun.

Passives

  • Elemental Master – Reduces the amount of elemental damage taken.
  • Caster – You have a higher chance of receiving more energy per turn.

Ranger

Ranger

Orderly Super Class upgrade of the Thief class. A DPS class that deals damage to groups of enemies. Focused mainly on speed and dodging attacks.

  • Flourish (2, 6) - Charge an attack that hits all enemies. Deals nature damage the turn after this skill is used. Scales with speed and arcane.
  • Perennial Canopy (3, 12) - Deals nature damage to all enemies at the start of the player's turn for 4 turns.
  • Stinger (2, 4) - Deals poison damage to an enemy then deals damage to two random targets. Has a chance to inflict poison and vulnerable.
  • Enrichment (1, 5) - Buffs an ally with a heal over time effect for 3 turns.

Passives

  • Verdant Archer – Get a damage and speed buff after a dodge. Strikes now scale off of arcane.(unlocks at lvl 15)

Saint

Saint

Orderly Super Class upgrade of the Slayer class. A Tank and Healer class with an emphasis on the healing. Being the best healer class, they can remove debuffs and heal massive amounts of health. Recommended for those who like to play healers in other MMORPGs.

  • Light Burst (2, 5) – Deal undodgeable holy damage to all enemies and inflicting blind.
  • Cleansing Prayer (2, 5) – Cleanse an ally, healing them a little and removing their debuffs.
  • Holy Grace (2, 5) – Heals a single ally.

Passives

  • Graceful Returns – You are granted a defense buff after healing.
  • Holy Emissary – Your outgoing healing is buffed by 35%.

Chaotic Super Classes

Chaotic Super Classes are exactly as they sound: Chaotic. These classes are mainly focused on dealing heavy damage and debuffing your enemies. A perfect choice for those who want to kill quickly, grind, or be lone wolves. In order to upgrade your class, you need to be Lvl 15 before you can talk to the trainer, and you need a 'Chaos' Alignment. (It is recommended to do the Potion quest's Chaotic variant, then use 8 Heartbreaking Elixirs and do one last Chaotic Quest) All of these classes' trainers are found in the Deeproot Canopy.

Berserker

Berserker

Chaotic Super Class upgrade of the Warrior class. A pure DPS class. Deals massive damage with little regard for their own defence. Good at dealing with groups of enemies. The best choice for those who love grinding.

  • Rage Empower (1, 5) – Damage yourself to 35% of your maximum HP, then gain a huge damage buff that scales with how much HP was lost. (you wont lose any HP if you're below 35% on cast.)
  • Head Splitter (2, 5) – Jump forward and crash down your sword on an enemy, dealing heavy damage and applying 2 vulnerable.
  • Carnage (3, 6) – Strike the ground with your sword, attacking all enemies on the field. Damage increases with the amount of energy.

Passives

  • Greatsword Training – Grants you the ability to buy the Greatsword weapon.
  • Bloodlust – Provides a damage buff when under 40% health.

Assassin

Chaotic Super Class upgrade of the Thief class. A DOT class that can become invisible and deals debuffs in the form of poison. Recommended for those who don't like taking damage and those who like trolling their friends with enemy aggro.

  • Shadow Form (1, 7) – You strike yourself, making you invisible for 2 turns. Also makes your next attack true.
  • Poison Fan (3, 7) – Throw out a fan of poisonous daggers that poisons your target and those around it.
  • Stealth Strike (2, 6) – Vanish into the shadows and appear behind a target, striking them from behind. Deals extra damage while invisible. If the target is poisoned also inflict 2 cursed.

Passives

  • Shadow – You have a chance of phasing through attacks.
  • Poisoner – Critical attacks now poison enemies.

Impaler

Chaotic Super Class upgrade of the Slayer class. A DPS and Glass Cannon class that can deal massive damage at the cost of their own health. Recommended for risk takers, those good at dodging, and masochists.

  • Rendering Barrage (2, 5) – Envelopes your spears in your blood, and rushes down an enemy with a barrage of strikes. Ends with a bonus attack if they are bleeding. unlocked at lvl 15
  • Blood Eruption (3, 9) – Encapsulate yourself in blood, and after a short delay, explode outwards and damage all enemies. Deals self damage.
  • Bloody Burst (2, 5) – Pierce yourself and release blood shards that attack all enemies. Deals self damage.

  • Bloody Berserker – Buff yourself with your own blood.
  • Deranged Fighter – You become Berserk when receiving debuffs.

Dark Wraith

Chaotic Super Class upgrade of the Martial Artist class. A DPS and Summoner class that can deal heavy damage, along with a powerful summon. Recommended for loners and misanthropes.

  • Dark Smite (2, 4) – Strike the ground with darkness, summoning a rift above a target that bathes them in black light. Has a bonus crit chance.
  • Summon Darkbeast (2, 16) – Unleash the darkness in your arm, creating a malignant beast of darkness to do your bidding. Its stats are increased by the number of darkcores upon summoning.
    • Darkbeast Actives:
      • Pounce - Basic attack.
      • Void Bite (2, 0) - An empowered bite dealing heavy damage and healing the darkbeast.
      • (only when you are low health)Shade Roar-4+ Dark Cores gives Dark Beast Shade Roar (3, 5) Area of Effect damage and guarantees stun, undodgeable and unblockable.
  • Darkcore Eruption (1, 5) – Consume all your darkcore stacks to create a dense release of darkness. At 5 darkcore stacks it becomes empowered. At max (6) it also gives guaranteed <vulnerability>

  • Darkborne – Critical hits create darknovas which increase overall speed.
  • Spirit Wraith – When your HP is low, your summons are buffed.

Necromancer

Chaotic Super Class upgrade of the Mage class. A Summoner and Support class whose damage is heavily dependent on their summons.

  • Call Skeleton (2, 5) – Summon a skeleton from the ground to help you in battle.
    • Skeleton Actives:
      • Smack - Order the skeleton to smack an enemy.
      • Bone Spray - Shoots an undodgeable bone toward the opponent.
  • Darklight Drain (2, 6) – Grab an enemy's soul, crushing it and dealing undodgeable damage while healing yourself. Grants all summons a 5% damage buff for the rest of the battle when cast. Stacks twice.
  • Raise Dead (3, 25) – Revive a dead ally and restore some of their HP and energy.

Passives

  • Dark Caster – Chance to get more energy per turn. (Armor passive)
  • Death Siphon – Regenerate HP and receive a speed boost after killing an enemy.

Sub-Classes

Additional to the Base Classes, there also Sub Classes. Sub Classes can be gained by any Class. Currently there 3 of them: Bard, Beastmaster, and Alchemist.

Bard

For those who love music(Uses instruments to buff your allies and debuff your enemies).

  • Latir Minor (2, 10) - Strum a violin generated from your magic, creating a resonance that empowers your allies. (Gives a small damage, resistence and life regen buff.)
  • Rebanar Major (2, 10) - Produce a trumpet from your magic and release a powerful reverberation that slices your enemies. Inflicts 4 turns of Vulnerable and 3 turns of Blindness on all enemies. Does no damage

Passives

  • Curar Forte (Utility Item) - Out of Combat, use around 3% of your total health to heal your allies for 6% of their health per tick.

Beastmaster

Beastmaster

For those who love documentation of enemies.

  • Mark (1, 2) - Hit an enemy with a piece of your soul, if this kills an enemy said enemy is added to your bestiary.
  • ""Expose(2,6)"" - Observe a targets weaknesses and make them more vulnerable towards them.

Passives

  • Sneak - Allows you to crouch. While active, this skill makes it so you can't get encountered, but makes you take damage over time until you deactivate the skill.

Items

  • Bestiary - You get the bestiary item in your inventory. It allows you to see information of any enemy you have killed with Mark. Also increases damage against enemies in your bestiary.

Alchemist

For those who love making potions.

  • Dangerous Mixture (2, 6) - Throws an undodgable potion at an enemy, applying 3 turns of random status effects.

  • Iron Gut - Reduces toxicity from potions drunk in battle (Basically, you can drink 2 HP potions now).
  • Create Cauldron - Lets you spawn in a cauldron at any place.
  • Certified - Lets you sell ingredients and potions at the apothecary for money.
